2nd edition of BPL starts on 17th January

The second edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)will be opened on 17th January’ 2013. Chairman of the Governing Council of BPL, Mr. Afzalur Rahman Sinha declared this in a press conference today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. This year an additional team “Rangpur” to be included as the seventh team in the BPL.
The official agreements between the franchises and the board would be signed by December 20. There will be a few guidelines regarding players' payment in the agreement. For instance, after the auction and before the tournament begins, 25 per cent of the money have to be paid. Before the last match, another 25 per cent should be paid and the rest of the money will have to be paid within six months from the end of the last match.
