The BPL Governing Council  has decided that today’s second semi final of Prime Bank BPL T20 between Sylhet Royals and Chittagong Kings, which was called off due to wet ground conditions at the SBNCS, Mirpur will now be held tomorrow (Monday, 18 February) .

Member Secretary of BPL Governing Council Dr. I.H. Mallick said:  “There was a rest day tomorrow and that will now be treated as a reserve day. The umpires had inspected the ground and according to the report from the officials the conditions did not permit play to get underway today. We had discussions with the two teams and other stake holders and we all felt that in the spirit of the game and in the best interest of everyone and most importantly the fans, this match should be shifted to Monday.”

Chairman of BPL Governing Council Afzalur Rahman Sinha informed that the final on 19 February will have a reserve day also. “Keeping in mind a similar situation with the weather in the final we have kept 20 February as a reserve day. It will only be used if the final match is called off without a ball being bowled. However, if the game does start then we will go by the playing conditions to decide the fate of the match if the weather intervenes.”

The tickets for today’s match will be valid for tomorrow also. The game starts at 6pm Bangladesh Standard Time.
