Important developments at 30th Board Meeting
The BCB in its 30th Meeting today nominated former Bangladesh captain
Akram Khan as the Chief National Selector. The two other members of
the National Selection Committee are former Bangladesh Test skipper
Kazi Habibul Bashar and another ex-captain Minhazul Abedin. The new
selection committee is expected to start functioning from 01 June 2011
following finalisation of contract and terms and conditions.
The Board was informed that proceeds from tickets in the Zoom Ultra
ODI Series 2011 between Australia and Bangladesh was BDT
1,09,72,892.00 (Taka one crore nine lac seventy-two thousand
eight-hundred ninty-two)
As part of its corporate social responsibilities the Board also
decided to partner the United Nations in its various social and
humanitarian campaigns.
