Injury update on Shakib Al Hasan

Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan will continue with the rehab programme for a stress reaction on his right tibia bone and will miss the Sahara Cup ODI series and the only T20i against the West Indies. Shakib had already been ruled out of the first two ODIs of the series in Khulna following an MRI scan which showed the injury.
BCB sports physician Dr. Debashis Chowdhury said: “We have reviewed Shakib’s injury at the Apollo Hospitals in Dhaka today and after consultation with the radiologist and orthopedic specialist, it has been decided that he will not be taking part in any kind of sporting activity for the next four to six weeks and will continue with his rehab program as directed by the medical team.”
