Mushfiqur Rahim new Bangladesh captain
 
Bangladesh Cricket Board has appointed Mushfiqur Rahim captain of the National Team. The new captain will be in charge initially for the upcoming series' against the West Indies and Pakistan at home. The Board also named 25-year old allrounder Mahmudullah as the vice captain.  
 
Regarding the appointments BCB Media & Communications Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus said: "This was an unanimous decision of the Board. The BCB President and Chairman of Cricket Operations Committee have spoken to both cricketers and they have accepted the roles."
 
The 23-year-old Rahim, a former Bangladesh Under 19 captain, said he was grateful for the faith shown in him by the Board: "This is the ultimate honour for any cricketer. I thank the Board for entrusting me with this responsibility.
 
"I am fully aware of the expectations of the entire nation and I will be totally committed towards ensuring that the Bangladesh Team strives towards fulfilling the dream of millions."
