The National Cricket League 2012-13 will start from 20 October 2012. This was decided in a BCB meeting on the first class tournament today. Some other important decisions taken in the meeting are as follow:
a) Eight (08) teams - Dhaka Division, Chittagong Division, Khulna Division, Rajshahi Division, Sylhet Division, Barisal Division, Rangpur Division and Dhaka Metro will compete in the tournament.
b) The BCB will adopt a franchisee model for the NCL.
c) Local cricketers who fail to make themselves available for their respective teams without the physio's official report and permission from the BCB, will not be considered for National Team selection.
d) Each team will be allowed to recruit and field two (02) overseas first class cricketers.
e) Match fees for playing XI members will be BDT 40,000.00 per match. The 12th and 13th player named in the list will receive a third of that amount while the 14th member will get a fourth of the fee amount.
