The Bangladesh Cricket Board’s attention has been drawn to a report aired yesterday (Monday) on Indian private satellite channel India TV where allegations of corruption have been directed towards a Bangladeshi international panel umpire who is with the BCB on retainership basis.
The BCB has a zero-tolerance policy to issues related to corruption in the game and is committed to holding a thorough inquiry into the matter.
BCB’s Media Committee Chairman Mohammed Jalal Yunus said: “We are taking this very seriously and will look into every bit of information. Rest assured a detailed investigation will be conducted.”
The BCB will not make any further comment on this subject.
